An Introduction

Hugo Michael Foote was born on the 1st of April 2013 9:35pm at just 22 weeks and 6 days gestation. He lived for 2 hours and 25 minutes in the arms of his Mum & Dad, surrounded by his Grandparents. As his parents we would like Hugo's legacy to live on and so we have created "The Hugo Effect". We aim to help other families in their time of need by providing items to help them build memories with their babies. We run a memory box day once a month, where those who would like to support the cause can bring the memory making items listed on the "Memory Box Contents" page. The boxes contents can be donated in memory of your Angel Baby, an Angel Baby you know, or Hugo. It's not just "The Hugo Effect" it's the effect of the Baby who the box is in memory of. The completed boxes are then delivered to Redcliffe Hospital (with the overflow being transferred to Caboolture Hospital). This blog is a place were we can emotionally support one another and is a non-judgemental space. All families are welcome to share their stories of Miscarriage, Stillbirth, & Neonatal Death whether it be their loss, or one of a family member.

Regards,
Michael & Tash Foote

  1. Tash what a beautiful thing you guys are doing. I'm so sorry to hear this. I feel your pain. I lost my beautiful Alex at 36wks with no explanation giving birth to him one the 14-12-02 was one of the hardest things. But I was lucky to have a healthy boy on the 16-06-04 Trent was born at 36wks. Then a few years later we had a beautiful girl Nikki who was an emergency c-section just before 35wks due to her heart condition on the 31-10-10. Unfortunately our lil girls heart failed not long after that and passed away 20 days later on the 20-11-10. We have now been blessed with our new lil healthy boy Tristan being born on the 15-09-15 at 35wks and 5days. I wish you and Michael all the best and God bless you both xoxo
